Missouri Southern State University Athletics announced Oct. 30 that Director of Athletics Rob Mallory has been appointed to the NCAA Division II Management Council, where he will represent the Mid-America Intercollegiate Athletics Association (MIAA); his term begins Jan. 15, 2027, after the Division II Business Session at the 2027 NCAA Convention.
According to the announcement, Mallory’s four-year term will run through January 2031. The council reviews and makes recommendations on legislative, administrative and policy matters affecting Division II athletics, the university said.
Mallory has previously served on the NCAA Division II Membership Committee and Division II Football Committee, as well as regional advisory committees in football and baseball, according to Missouri Southern Athletics. He currently chairs the MIAA Athletic Administrators Committee, the announcement said.
Mallory began as Missouri Southern’s director of athletics on July 1, 2021, and is in his sixth year in the role, according to the university. During his tenure, the Lions have won 10 MIAA championships—five regular-season titles and five tournament titles, the announcement said.
